System Maintenance and Unplanned Downtime [RESOLVED]

From approximately 10 PM Pacific to 11 PM Pacific, October 8th, downtime occurred on the stores, SpringBoard, and APIs.  This was originally intended to be a routine maintenance period with zero downtime.  However a new monitoring and diagnostic program that we ran last week began to cause issues following the routine maintenance.  These issues required taking the system down for an extended period.
