Why do my customers have to enter personal information, like address, for PayPal orders?

These fields are necessary for our fraud prevention system to work properly. We use this information, and a number of other metrics, to help prevent fraudulent orders.

However, if all of your products are digital, meaning you do not have anything shippable like a backup CD, we do have an alternate payment flow that does not require address information for customers choosing PayPal or Amazon as their payment method. Please open a support ticket requesting the digital only order flow and confirm in the support ticket that you do not sell shippable products. Please note: this change will affect a live store.
